The Process

Step 1: Enquire
The custom process at Ailisi is designed to ensure a thorough understanding of your unique needs. To initiate this process, you can make an enquiry through our contact page. Following your enquiry, we will schedule a call with you to delve deeper into the specific product you desire and how we can support you in bringing it to life. During this conversation, we will cover important details such as minimum order quantities (MOQ), associated costs, and practical timeframes to ensure your expectations align with the production process.

Step 2: Select Designs
Beginning the custom process is as simple as providing images of what you're wanting. These don't have to be complicated. It can be a catalogue image, a CAD drawing, a sketch or even a screenshot of Pinterest. It's just a way to start the process. From here we take you idea into the factories and work to start the sample phase. It's important to us that anything custom is not able to be replicated, so we always discuss this process, paying for moulds and plates, and ways to protect IP.

Step 3 - Sourcing & Sampling
After we know The sample phase of customised products adds a little more time than standard processes. We walk you through this timeline, and keep our factories on track. Once samples are made, we see these in person and offer a preliminary QC and testing service. Once approved, or amendments made, we either go to a second sample phase, or move forward into production.

Step 4: Production & Quality control
The production process usually takes 40-60 days. We sent updates as things are progressing, and visit the factories regularly to make sure we are happy with the way the product is being produced. We test all products once they are made. Although many of these questions are answered pre-production or in the sample phase, we solidify answers in this quality control stage of the process. The quality control service offered by Ailisi is specialised and detailed. We are checking all elements and how they work logistically as well as how they're designed.

Step 5: Logistics and Shipping
If you’ve chosen FOB process, we organise the delivery of goods from all over the country into your container. This is where the loading begins, and Tetris comes in handy. Once on the water, you receive container tracking numbers, ETD and ETA details, as well as what to expect on the other end of receiving. We complete all customs documents ready for your receivers.

Timber
We source the finest materials to ensure the durability and elegance of our furniture. Choose from premium Elm, Ash and Oak hardwoods, premium veneers, or custom varieties of wood ready for custom Pantone paint colours. Each wood is available in a variety of finishes to perfectly match your desired aesthetic. Rustic, weathered finishes, smooth matte paint colours or classic wood grain semi-gloss. We work with your vision to create the wood finish perfect for your new inventory pieces.
Fabric
Our upholstery library provides a vast selection of options to customise our collection to your exact needs. Whether you prefer luxurious leather or classic linen, tactile textures or bold colourways, we offer the perfect fabric to suit your vision. Our expert team is here to guide you in selecting the ideal upholstery that complements your aesthetic and meets your specific requirements
All of our fabrics are Oeko-Tex 100 as a minimum standard. We offer customisable options such as recycled fabrics, unique matte velvets, authentic leathers and custom printed patterns. We work with our factories to supply unique, long lasting, high gsm materials or work directly with fabric factories if we can’t find the perfect match. Below is just an example of unique fabrics in our collection. Be sure, we have all the basic linens and velvets, too!
Metals
Our extensive range of metal options ensures that you find the perfect foundation for your bespoke furniture. Choose from durable materials such as aluminium, steel, stainless steel and wrought iron, each available in various finishes to complement your design. Depending on the use, we are happy to advise the best fit for purpose material.
